<x-charset Windows-1252>I just had a thought, don't know if anyone has every tried it. I have the opposite situation, where I have two computers sharing the same printer and I use an AB switch, one computer would more likely be text and the other photographs. Is it possible to have one computer hooked to the USB port and one to the parallel port or do you have to have some sort of setting for one over the other? This way it eliminates the switch all together. Good idea or bad? Is there a good place on-line to purchase a USB cable or is it just as cheap to stop at a local Radio shack? The whole USB thing is new to me, I only have had a computer for a week or so that even has one, actually I thought it only had one it actually has two. > I have a dual parallel port card, and use three parallel printers(HP > Laserjet and inkjet, and Epson 1200. This works well for me and seems fast. > I used to have an AB switch, but find this works better. I'm on Win 2K. - Turn off HTML mail features. Keep quoted material short.
