Polaroid Chapter 11

I hear Polaroid has filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.

Where does this leave us, the owners of their scanners. I would hesitate
to send my Sprintscan 35 Plus for repair (which it apparently needs)

Anybody on this list found alternate sources for repair and parts?  I
have found Polaroid very expensive for repairs. They seem to have a
large fee for opening the box.

Suggestions anyone?
