<x-charset iso-8859-1>James -- Thank you for your input. I own Optical, the Spyder and Profiler RGB, all of which can be purchased either as a package or separately. I believe my results at monitor calibration are ok, but I've never achieved any degree of success at printer profiling (Umax Powerlook III scanner; Epson 870 printer, Epson ink and paper). Now that you, as well as Cathy Brown, have expressed that Monaco's customer service is not as bad as formerly reported, I would be willing to give EZ Color 2 a try. But it is my understanding that they offer only the full bundle -- scanner, monitor and printer software, at $300; the printer-profiling software may not be available as a stand-alone product. Because you qualify for the upgrade price, I agree that the experiment is worthwhile for you. But at $300, I'd want to read more independent reviews and maybe even test the product. Cathy Brown's two reports on EZ Color 2 have been most informative. She clearly understands the product and expresses herself well. But due to differing equipment (especially the scanner), skill levels, ink brands, etc., I hope additional readers of this list will post opinions regarding the new EZ Color 2, as more widespread use of the product increases. (I wonder why we haven't yet heard test reports from C.D. Tobie, Ian Lyons, Andrew Rodney. Perhaps we will.) Hey Monaco, how about a demo version of the printer profiling product!
