I just took a quick look on eBay for Epson 980 printers. What I found was: one (brand new) currently listed with an opening bid of $165 and six (all new) sold in July at an average price of about $175. The 980 is currently available at CompUSA for $250 with a $50 rebate - so these prices are very close to retail. As a used machine, I would suspect yours would fetch at least $100 plus your shipping costs. An explanation that you are upgrading to a wider carriage printer of the same brand would certainly ease most doubts about its worth.
