<x-charset iso-8859-1>Gloria, Look on the left side of the paper slot for a white plastic piece. It can be seen when the lid is lifted but is more easily reached from the paper slot. Make sure it is snapped into place...you may have to look at another 740 . If it is out of place it will cause a jam. jb ----- Original Message ----- From: "gordon swanson" <gswanson@isomedia.com> To: <epson-inkjet@leben.com> Sent: Monday, July 16, 2001 4:01 PM Subject: Re: SC 740 paper jams > this might or might not be helpfull... but here goes > on my gettin old 3000 it was doing a bit of this behavior (but not so > bad) > I cleaned the heck out of the rollers - using spray cleaner, distilled, > qtips and alcohol - got it all squeaky clean and it stopped it > misbehaving and jamming > > it is possible (quite) that all that wiggleing scrubbing and general > clunking and cleaning (I'm kind of heavy handed) worked something else > loose that was the actual problem - I'v kinda wondered that > > hope this helps a bit > > > ps > I'm sure going to spring for an extended warrenty on my next printer > > Anthony Adinolfi wrote: > > > > Hello all, > > > > I've tried Epson tech support for this issue, but nothing they suggested > > has helped, so I thought I'd try posting to the list: > > > > I'm experiencing a recurring hardware problem with my Stylus Color 740. > > Over the past few months, there has been an increasing frequency of > > severe paper jams in my unit.
