<x-charset iso-8859-1>I have just begun using the Fotonic inks in an Epson 1200 with the profiles provided by Lyson which you can obtain at http://www.lysonusa.com. I like them. I have used the Lysonic inks as well and like them also. I use the lyson supplied profiles to print on Epson Archival Matt and they work well with little adjustment. Lyson reports for their lysonic ink in the 1200 and Archival matte an expected time until fade of 66 years. They do not report a statistic for the Fotonic ink under the same circumstances, however the Fotonic in other configurations appears to have a useful life. The Fotonic are supposed to have a broader gamut than Lysonic inks, however if you don't compare them side by side you would not be dissatisfied with the lysonic longer lasting inks. I experience more clogging with these inks than I have with OEM, however they usually clear with a few cleanings. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Paul Snow" <pdssl@yahoo.com> To: <epson-inkjet@leben.com> Sent: Saturday, July 14, 2001 1:36 PM Subject: Lyson Fotonic Inks?? > If there are any members of this list that has tried > or is currently using the Fotonic Inks in their Epson > printers I would appreciate their opinions on this ink > good or bad. > > Paul > > __________________________________________________ > Do You Yahoo!? > Get personalized email addresses from Yahoo!
