Problems with USB Port on Epson 1280

I had the same problems with Epson my Epson 1270 and 2000P on my new Micron
running W2k.  I even had problems with the parallel ports but nowwhere near
the trouble I had with USB.  I got the latest drivers from Epson.  I paid
for support from Adobe.  Nothing worked.  For a test, I put Windows 98 on
the machine.  Now I can print to both printers simultaneously through the
USB ports without a hitch.
