StylusRIP; EPS in XPress

<x-flowed>I don't know which newsgroup to post this in (XPress, Illustrator or 
Epson) so I'll start here.

I can print directly from Illustrator 8 to our Stylus 3000 using 
Stylus RIP 3.30 and the result is a smooth error diffusion dither, 
but when I place the same Illustrator EPS in an XPress 4.11 document, 
the image prints with a low res dither. I even rasterized the art 
(1200dpi) in the Illustrator EPS file but no luck. I usually don't 
print from XPress to the Stylus 3000 but this time I happened to look 
closely and this is what I saw.
