RE: A brand-spanking new 1200...where do I go from here?

<x-charset iso-8859-1>Generations 4 pigment inks are available now for the Epson 1200, and
work well with coated fine art papers like Somerset Enhanced, Hahnemuhle
Etching (aka Royal Plush, Cone Orwell, etc.) and value-leader Epson
Archival Matte. For best results, you'll need a custom profile for each
paper you like, preferably built with a spectrophotometer rather than a
scanner. This makes an enormous difference.

Consider skipping the cartridges and going straight to NoMoreCarts CIS.
Get the inks in 4 oz bottles that work with the CIS, and get the little
plastic caddy that holds all six bottles. This is the setup I use.

Btw I just bought 2 spare Epson 1200's from Microcenter. Great deal, and
when they're gone, they're gone. Microcenter Cambridge Massachusetts had
50 of them as of Friday May 4. Thanks to list members for posting this
deal!
