Yes, I'm using Press Ready. I just got it and am getting used to it,
but already I can print neutral greys and I'm happy about that. I
found that I had to increase the RAM allocation to both the Press
Ready RIP and the Press Ready DTP to prevent repeated crashes.

So, let's say that I printed on a paper sample and it gave me
bleeding at 100% but looked fine at 90%. Most of the callibration
chart squares printed with sharp edges, but a number (say 10%) of
them are bleeding over into the adjacent squares. Any suggestions on
a starting point for the controls on Profiler CMYK?

Dot gain?
Black ink?
Total ink?
Black generation?
UCR amount?

by the way, a test prints of artwork I made using the first
approximation CMYK profiles is looking quite nice as far as color
rendition. I feel like I'm on my way to making some very nice prints.

Thanks, David.
