<x-charset iso-8859-1>I have the 1200S. I'm not sure why there are shouts of false advertising from Epson on this. I've forgotten exactly how I learned of the lack of 48-bit output, but I definitely knew about it before purchasing the scanner. I think it's in the specs page on their website.
