<x-charset iso-8859-1>Lenses and emulsions have a mutually degrading effect on each other such that neither ever reaches its full theoretical imaging potential. Some argue that since a CCD resolves only (x) amount of detail and even a cheap lens resolves (x * 4) amount of detail, we can therefore get by with the cheapest lenses we can find. Such is not the case. The actual effects of a lens-emulsion SYSTEM are more like additive entropy - mutual degradation. Always use the highest quality lens you can get your hands on!
