Converting L*A*B* Values accurately

<x-charset Windows-1252>Stupid question:  Is there any freeware or shareware out
there that allows one to convert from LAB to CMY or RGB more
accurately than PS 5.5?  If you use the color picker, it
will only accept whole numbers in the lab part of the
dialog.
