EPSON 1520 on a Mac G4?

I've got an older serial port style Epson 1520.  It's a great printer
and I want to splurge and buy the new Cone pieziography system for it.
How can I hook it up to run thru the USB port on the Mac G4?  Or, should
I just junk it and buy a new 1160?
