<x-charset iso-8859-1>Richard: Just an obvious thing, which you have probably already done...did you try printing out another sample to scan and check that you are set up correctly for that printout. Once upon a time, I accidentally left the 'space' in the Adobe print dialog at some profile I had used (instead of RGB), and the results were...well, they were interesting...but not accurate. 8) Another time, I forgot and left the Epson print dialog set on ICM instead of NO ADJUSTMENT...this also produced strange results. This was not with the 3000, but was rather psychedelic when printed out. Question: How did you get the Generations 4 inkset? I just looked on their site this morning and did not see it listed. bob snow ==================== From: Richard Wolfson <rwolfson@LyricDesign.com> Subject: trouble with Matchlock & Generations 4 CMYK profiles (from Profiler CMYK) generate weird psychedelic purples on CMYK preview or RGB>CMYK mode change. RGB profiles generate similar psychedelic colors with Matchlock RGB preview. Images printed using these profiles do not resemble the previews, but look ghastly. Any ideas? I'm stuck. Is there any reason to suspect a problem with this scanner? ==================== - * Save 10% on Lysonic & Fotonic inks through Oct 31, 2000! * * FREE Next Day Delivery!
