Painting on top of 1270 output on canvas

Hi,

I've been experimenting with output on canvas (The Stock Solution's
Capri Canvas) from my 1270. I really like the results, but am looking
for real texture. I've been painting over the prints with Liquitex
Acrylic mediums, and although I do get good results with very thick
layers, if I try to work textures with a brush and thin layer of medium
I can pull the ink off the canvas in the print.

I was wondering if anyone else has tried stuff like this and if so, is
there some other coating you spray the print with prior to working with
paints (to prevent ink coming off)? I've had one suggestion to use
Krylon Crystal Clear Acrylic Spray first - any experience with how that
interacts with the 1270 inks?

I have let the prints dry for at least 24 hours before painting them. If
anyone has used coatings and paints, can you comment on what drying
(curing?) times worked for you?

thanks,

Jo Ann
