<x-flowed>I finally talked to the local Epson rep today, and he did confirm that their $4495 cost for the 7000 (w/o stand or RIP) and $8995 cost for the 9000 (w/o RIP) covers delivery and setup at the customer's site. Shipping charges are included in this figure (but I suspect it doesn't include sales tax here in TN). SPARCO (http://www.sparco.com/cgi-bin/wcompany?vendor_name=EPSON%20-%20LARGE%20FORMAT) prices are $3657 for the 7000 (133.5 lb. shipping wt.) and $7249 for the 9000 (326.5 lbs shipping wt.). You have to pay shipping, unload the truck, and set up the printer. As mentioned recently on this list, they currently don't have any 7000s. but do have 9000s. So one has to decide if the difference is worth it ($838 for the 7000 and $1746 for the 9000). Many of us would say no, but then many of us don't have any means of handling shipments this large either. If you are also trying to decide which printer to buy, one thing to keep in mind is that the 9000 can be upgraded to a 9500 (to use pigmented ink); the 7000 cannot be upgraded to a 7500. - Turn off HTML mail features.
