<x-charset iso-8859-1>Alan, You should not copy the fonts directly to the fonts folder, but rather open up the fonts applet in control panel, and click 'file...install new font'. Then browse to where the fonts are located. However, if that command is not available, your fonts folder may have lost its system attribute. To check, open Windows explorer, find the \windows\fonts folder, right click it, choose properties, and see if the 'system' box is checked; if not, it can be fixed as follows: Open a dos window (msdos prompt), which should put you at the c:\Windows> prompt Type: attrib +s fonts Close the window and reboot. There are further procedures, but this one generally works. The maximum number of fonts is closer to 1000, but it varies with the size of the font name, if I remember correctly...there is a given maximum space for the names.
