To add a bit that that page I do not believe states is that it happens as the
result of reactions catalyzed by negative ions created by the small water
droplets produced by surf and waterfalls..

Sometimes what may seem intuitive is not the case..

Hmmmm...

So why hasn't it absorbed all the extra CO2 fossil fuels toss into the modern
atmosphere?

Why doesn't it absorb the halogenated hydrocarbons that move into the
stratosphere and troposphere to cause the ozone hole, especially when those
halogenated hydrocarbons are used as propellants down here, not up there?

That's true.. And exactly why I originally was going to purchase a 1270..

But, it's a new first generation product, and not the first time dyes in a new
printer have shown poor behavior in the real world..  Those who have been
looking at 6 color printers for some time will remember the problems with
light-cyan and light-magenta inks sometime back..
