We had Wilhelm Research talk on the Epson 2000P at the Electronic Media Group (EMG) of AIC (American Institute for Conservation of Art) in Philadelphia last weekend. Ongoing work shows that the 2000P's *pigmented* inks, on the matte paper, have not discolored after 100 year using the Wilhelm Research standard, 2 Mega lux of light per year, protocol. There is no sign of failure yet, they think it may go much longer, possibly, as much as twice the current result. They have heard that the printers will be available 10/00, at about US$800, here. The 2000P have the same exterior as the 1200 & 1270, but with silver and gray plastic shell; same paper size limits.
