Paper Feed Problem

My Epson StylusColor often, but not always, feeds a new page half-way into
the printer, where it stops, Pauses, and the red "Paper Out" light comes
on.  After a second or two, it prints, but starting half-way down the page.
Then it pauses again, until Pause button is released, when remainder of
printing is printed onto a new sheet.
Calibration tests all OK.  Print quality is excellent, except for this
intermittent problem.
