Scott, I had 120 size negatives scanned from the Saphir Ultra, and found they
weren't quite sharp enough for a 16x20 print. The Epson 1600 will be. It has
400 DPI more. It recived a 5 star rating in P.C. Magazine, and the reviewer
said it had outstanding sharpness. But you are scaning 4x5 negatives. The 1200
DPI Saphir will be great for that. You'll get all the resolution you will ever
need from them.
