Laurie, Just doing catch up here. If I remember rightly, my thoughts about the colored laser were toward future development in printers. I was wondering if perhaps the day may come when the laser will replace the inkjet. I think that eventually the problem of inkjets and refilling, etc. will be obsolete and laughable. I read something recently about printing in 3-D! The day is coming when if I break my left-handed coffee cup, I'll simply print out another one! In the beginning - way back when - when all I had was my black/white laser, it seemed to do a good job on grayscale pictures, which is all I did then; it didn't take much to thrill me there in the beginning of printing *my* pictures. Then when I wanted to try color and the Epson Stylus II came out, it seemed to me that the laser still did a better job than the Stylus on grayscale. Most likely the difference was my ignorance in using the inkjet, changing the settings, etc. Of course, neither the laser nor the Stylus can compare to the 1200 I now have, although the Stylus does still do a great job, IMO, with a lot less ink. I'm not looking for perfection, although it would be nice, but the better I can do then the more better I want to do. I'm always in awe of what comes out of these machines nowdays, but then I remember dad's Model T Ford, the first television, then Sputnik and now look - people talking on cell phones in the grocery store. It's all truly amazing. Marie > Laurie Solomon wrote: > > Marie, > What do you plan to do with your color laser?
