My experience tells me this does matter, some cheap scanners work better
for profiling than others. I'd ask for input on the list from Matchlock
users that may have your particular scanner. I'm still waiting to hear
which $130 scanner Inkjet Mall made the best profiles ever with. The
software, and David's support, is pretty great.
