Well said George; this list needs more from poeple with a sense of
perspective!

(It makes a change from people ranting about things they are speculating
about.)

By the way, why has no-one noticed the similarity between the the
'discussion' on Epson 1200 v 1600 scanners and their averaged claim (if you
see what I mean) to deliver what they market but accepts quite without any
evidence (as far as I can see) that the 1270 is a quantum jump ahead of the
1200.  Surely people aren't so narrowly focused on their own issue that they
miss the bigger picture.
