Re: epson matte paper

Sergios,
I will be interested in knowing the results of your test. As Bob Asked, did
you resolve the frustration with this paper and your ex. I print on a 1200
with oem inks using a jon cone profile for WV matte paper and I had perfect
results. Believe me, I know your frustration. I have just started my
business and am in need of a cheap way to produce portfolios. I could have
had a zillion prints made by the lab compared to the money and time I spent
on digital printing. However, I feel the time was well invested. Epson
has provided an avenue for photographers of all experiences and levels to
create images with control on the entire process from shooting to printing.
I remember waiting several days for prints at a lab and not only the colors
were off but they cropped wrong or used the wrong paper. I too spent the
money on the 1200 in September, spent my savings and many hours learning
from this list and printing by trial and error. But now I can shoot an
image, process the film, scan it and have a print in my portfolio the next
day. I appreciate this convenience and I believe it was worth all the
agony. I look forward to purchasing the 1270 when I can afford to. Until
then, I will continue to experiment with the 1200. Sergios, check out jon
cones profiles. They have worked for me. and may be you can find some
relief to your frustration.

Good Luck,
Kim
