I also scan negs to photoshop.  I find the
profiling software (wizi) very helpful.  I haven't
yet profiled my nikon film scanner, though wizi
deluxe allows this.  Since I color correct every
image anyway, it seems I'd be correcting a
profiled scan anyway, and I'm pretty fast at color
correction now.
