I've been tweaking my monitor (an Apple 17" Studio Display) and came across a question. In the monitor control panel, when I go through the calibrations to create a ColorSync profile for the monitor, I get a little confused regarding the white point. It first asks what is the current white point and then asks what white point I would like. I chose 5000K for both. But then when I play with the little button on the monitor itself, I found a place where I can set the white point (and it was showing 9300K after I set 5000K in the control panel). So, in order to get 5000K does it have to be set in the monitor itself and in the software? Am I doing this correctly? Thanks. Shimon Mor Geoduck Graphics - Please turn off HTML mail features.
