Too true Rudy.....so whats wrong with the Encads? Because of the 
hidden costs and general hassel of running an Epson, with the 
possible exception of the 3000 and above, I wonder if an Encad Croma 
24 might be a better choice for my use. Any comments on Encads would 
be appreciated.

You could try contacting www.marrutt.com, one of their UK 
distributors. I have used them in the past for traditional photo 
supplies and found them friendly and helpful.
