I've done this many times on PC's but never on a Mac.  However, the process should be the 
same.  It entails saving all your data, as in a normal complete backup.  Don't save the 
program files, just the data files you've created doing your work.  Then simply reformat the 
hard drives and start from scratch, as though it were a new computer.  Load only the 
programs you need.  If your printing problem was caused by either driver corruption or 
conflict, it should disappear.  

I'm sure one of our fellow list members with Mac experience can advise you on the specifics 
of how this is done.  Give yourself about three hours for the process.  And, if it works, dig up 
your best cookie recipe with a happy face.
