Jerry, I did not say they were not Epson heads. I have seen Roland prints and like them very much. I think the printer does a very good job. I also have seen prints from a 9000. They are very good too. We have a 9000. It is my understanding and if you read the spec sheets on the heads at the Epson Web site you will find that the only machines with the same heads at the high end are the 5000 and the 9000. They have special heads and with the right software do special things with the ink. That is also why the 5000 and 9000 cost more. I also like the Mimaki, Colorspan, HP and even the Iris. But in the final tally the back and forth sway of the 9000 is so hypnotic. George J.
