It'd be darn heavy stock :-) Our local paper guy confirmed that gsm is exactly that - cut a sheet of stock to 1 metre square and weigh it. No allowance for type or quantity. Just weigh it. Deliciously simple, eh? One minor point while on S.I. (Systeme Internationale d'Unites) units, meter is a measuring instrument, metre is the unit of length. Retentive you say?
