<x-flowed>I tried the cone profile. It was a lot better than before, but you could
still see that the ink wasn't being absorbed like other papers. I left it
overnight to dry, and this morning the print was still a bit
tacky. Luminos says that they are working *very* hard to remedy the
problem, and that there are some combinations of ink with this paper that
have produced some very nice images..but it is also dependent on the image
itself (i suspect that very saturated images would not be good).
From what Luminos says, the combination of this paper and coating hardens
too soon, and thus doesn't absorb the ink as readily. Their Tapestry and
Charcoal papers use the same coating, but don't have this problem. They had
stopped production of the paper, but since the results came out from
Wilhelm, they are working hard on getting the problem resolved. ( hope
so... i like the paper)
I let them know that there was a discussion on this list, and they might
comment. If i get some more info, I'll post as well.
