21" Studio Display with Colorsync

I just replaced my 17" Apple Studio Display with the graphite 21" Studio
Display with built-in Colorsync.  I have not worried about color management
in the past, because my printed results were close enough to what I saw on
my monitor (after using the Adobe monitor calibration).  But now with this
new monitor, I feel I should learn how to use Colorsync.

If you have experience with the Apple 21" Studio Display can you give me a
primer on how to use the built-in Colorsync with my:

B&W G3 350
OS 9
PHOTOSHOP 5.1
EPSON 1200 PRINTER

Or, can you steer me in the direction of a good step by step discussion?
