to announce the addition of a section describing an 'exact' approach to
producing multitones to my web site, at http://axp.psl.ku.dk/~ross/. This
section also is available from my site as a 732 kB pdf document for
downloading.<BR><BR>The described procedure falls into two distinct phases.
One phase is concerned with matching monitor image and printed image, and
the other consists in arriving at the most appropriate assignment of the
quadtone inks to the various print densities. The implementation of both
phases rests heavily on measurements of printed samples by means of a
colorimeter.</FONT><BR><FONT color=#000000 face=Geneva

procedure is described in detail and with many diagrams and illustrations
for printing on an Epson 1520 four-color printer with the MIS Archival
Quadtone 'Neutral' Inkset and Somerset Velvet paper; data are also given for
