The flatbed scanner exists almost entirely for the benefit of Wiziwyg. I won't be using it for any color-critical input -- for that I use my film scanner. And Wizi can't help me with that. (Not at all sure anything can.) I was impressed (astounded would be a better word) at how well the scanner did all on its own, with "auto" settings... My only real interest in profiles at all is to deal with oddball archival inks and papers. For work on Epson papers and inks, I've gotten by pretty well for 2+ years, without profiles at all. rafe b. - Turn off HTML mail features. Keep quoted material short.
