Rafe: I may be totally off base on this, but for a short while I used 1.8 gamma on my PC. A few images I finished and printed were in the Colormatch space at 1.8. When I changed back to 2.2 and calibrated monitor to same, there was of course a striking change in the way the monitor displayed the images. Here's the part where I get fuzzy...uncheck "Preview Using Monitor Compensation" in that box in RGB Setup. Does your image suddenly look like you remember it in PS4?? Mine did (like 1.8). Out of curiousity, I printed one using the usual settings and it came out perfect. I then started comparing known values (like 128 grey) and lo and behold they were now 12 or so points different, but still printed out correctly. I think 'finished' files will not be a problem, but I'd really like to know whether my memory has gone out the window or not! Let me know what you discover. 8( have fun, bob snow - Turn off HTML mail features. Keep quoted material short. Use accurate subject lines. http://www.leben.com/lists for list instructions.
