Re: why is silverfast better than generic scanning software?

Quick Question time again. Everybody and his cat is in general agreement
that the Silverfast software makes a substantial difference in the
quality you can get with a scanner that is using it. Exactly in what way
is the final output superior? Can the image be sharper than if generic
scanning software was used? Better shadow detail? Smoother image tones?
