There are various kinds of 'fading'. I've seen the rapid-fading done by humidity. but some photos I've printed the day I got the printer (almost more than a year now), being behind glass, have faded quite a lot, but not to green: actually the cyan has faded as much as the magenta. the photos now look like very light sepia. conclusion: don't take it for granted that it is the magenta that will fade first or whatever. but be sure that they will fade.
