Epson Standard profile always greyed out/ calibration question

Trying to get to grips with ColorSync now I'm on OS 8.5: for some reason
Epson Standard profile is always greyed out no matter what, why?

Re: Photoshop 5.5. Is there a way like on 4.0 to use Knoll Gamma to match
your screen to output? I saved all kinds of settings that way and was able
to get fairly predictable outputs. Not concerned so much about Epson prints,
but going to the lab for Lambda etc.
