The "monitor" item is the name of the monitor profile which is being used by PhotoShop to display your images. It should NOT be the same as your RGB working space (in the top box), which is NOT normally your monitor profile. The top selection represents the (hopefully) device- independent space in which you are doing your editing. Photoshop does an "on-the-fly" profile-to-profile conversion from the editing space to the monitor space for display purposes only--it does not affect your image, only the screen display. The reason the "monitor" entry is not editable is because it is defined outside Photoshop (i.e. in Windows, for PCs) so that it can be used for other applications as well. By the way, I could be wrong here, but I believe that if Monitor (in PS) is "Adobe Monitor Profile" and your Wiziwyg monitor profile is named something different, this means that your Wiziwyg monitor profile is not actually the one being used for display. You may have a conflict within Windows (if you're using a PC) between two different monitor profiles. I had this problem for days, with Adobe Gamma Loader trying to use one monitor profile, Wiziwyg another one, and Windows (and thus PhotoShop) still using the default Windows profile. Not a good thing.
