Very off-putting. Any suggestions? > > Andy L. > Andy: I had the same problem on my 1200 with one particular brand of art paper, so I assume it has something to do with the coating 'slicking' up the feed mechanism. I found that I could 'formfeed' a sheet of plain paper through the printer 2 or 3 times and it would then feed 1 or 2 more sheets of the paper through. I also have better success on this paper by stacking some plain paper in the tray, perhaps 1/16" or so, and feeding the paper from on top of it. I got tired of fighting the nuisance paper and changed to another brand and have never had a problem since. You can also achieve some success by pressing the feed button and loading it before starting the printing process. Gently push downward on the paper as the printer tries to pick it up. This is kind of a haphazard method for me though. Others claim it works every time. Happy Holidays, bob snow - Turn off HTML mail features. Keep quoted material short.
