Well, Along with my first order of Somerset Photo Enhanced I got a few sample sheets of Guardian. Not impressed so far. I have tried various settings (using MIS Quadtone inks) and haven't got a good result. Reasonable tonal range, but the image is nowhere near as crisp as I can get with Concord Rag, Liege, and now Somerset Enhanced. Much more bleeding than these papers. Even using ordinary Somerset Velvet I prefer the results to Guardian. Unless anyone can offer any useful suggestions, I won't be using it any more. BUT as for the Somerset Enhanced - I just love it. No, it doesn't quite give really really rich blacks, but most of the time it is just great. Now, if there was just a less creamy version of Concord Rag...? Tim A - Turn off HTML mail features.
