The first thing that crossed my mind after reading your post was the old
trick of adding a layer to a PS image at printing time to correct color
casts, etc., for different or non-OEM papers. Have you tried adding a
layer (Hue/Saturation) and punching up the saturation?? I think possibly
you can get the punch you are looking for.
Of course, as someone else mentioned, keep track of your settings and don't
save the image file with this layer intact.
Might be something to try...let us know the results!!
