Re: Wilhel'm 6 color bombshell!(was Silver Inks for the 1200?)
Andy,
On the train back from NY, I had the time to look more closely at the
Wilhelm results. The results for the 6-color inks are not as bad as I
thought. The two papers that were mentioned for the Epson 5000 with Lysonic
E inks, the Lysonic Standard Fine Art Paper and the Epson Photo Paper, with
a life span of under 1 year and 2 years respectively, give twice that time
that for the 4-color inks in the 3000. So while it would be premature to
state that the Lysonic E 6-color inks have half the life expectancy of the
4-color inks, one might expect a decent lifespan from the Luminos Lumijet
Premium Tapestry X (>120 years/4-color) or the Arches Cold Press (50
years/4-color).
