If your aim is to show your gorgeous image, why not > order 500 great glossy postcards from Modern Postcard for $95? > If I this was not such a very short run I would do this. But my idea was just to print up about 50 cards to get to people who probably didn't get the main announcement sent out by the institution organizing the show and who would mainly be interested in my work. I will experiment with some of the suggestions given in the future (thanks to all!) but have to admit that when I did a test of the cards on epson photo paper I was so happy with the results that I decided to go with that alternative, sticking the cards in a first-class envelope. At 3 cards to a letter sized page, and much less coverage than a 8x10 print, it will be cheap enough and the quality is quite good. Conceptually, I like the idea that the card contains three mini-prints made in the same medium as the originals (this is a non-commercial show at a public institution so the non-archival quality of the work isn't a major factor). Thanks again for all the suggestions. John M. - Turn off HTML mail features. Keep quoted material short. Use accurate subject lines. http://www.leben.com/lists for list instructions.
