re: Genuine Fractals

Tina,

When you download the GF program, you're on your own to figure out how it works. They
should offer a pdf or other type of file with directions because there is a degree of complexity
to using the plugin.

After saving an image in the .stn format, when you re-open it a dialogue box should pop up
that offers options for enlarging. If this box doesn't arise, I suggest you remove then reinstall
the GF software plugin. If that doesn't work, perhaps you should download the software
again.

BTW, there are two programs you can download from GF. The first one, gf20demw.exe
(for Windows) worked well. The second, gfppdemw.exe (designed for printing) did not.
Check to see which one you downloaded. Each puts a different plugin in the Photoshop
Plugin sub directory. If you have the printing software loaded, try downloading the straight gf
plugin and trying that. It worked like a charm for me.

To review, you save an image in the GF format. Then, when you re-open it, the plugin opens
a dialogue box that offers enlarging options. The demo limits you to a 1500 pixel file to be
used as a test against the same low res original resized using Photoshop the bicubic algorithm.
>From what I can observe, this is very exciting technology that can open many previously
locked doors for us.

Cheers!
Michael
