RE: Adobe InDesign and Press Ready With Stylus Photo?



This is interesting. Are you sure that In Design will require a RIP?
PageMaker supposedly does, but works just fine in most cases without one (on
my EX). I bought the fairly useless Epson RIP and now never use it. Why
would In Design be any different? In fact, I would expect better support for
inkjets, not worse.

Any beta tester or someone at a service bureau who has gotten an early
release have reliable info on this? I'm about to place my order.

They definately plan to support other inkjets, and the Epsons are high on
the
list. They have succeeded with one six color machine already, and I'm sure
more will follow. But due to the shear number of Epson models, they may not
manage to support them all...

There should be a workaround using PDF, but tht is not exactly clear at the
moment.
