Printing from PageMaker/ Illustrator

I am now very happy with the quality of my prints from PhotoShop. I am using
an Epson EX under WIN 98SE and in PS set the space to Epson EX, leave PCM
unchecked, choose the appropriate paper and ICM or Auto in the Epson
properties. My problem is with Illustrator and PageMaker. If I import a tiff
file created in PS into either of these programs the resulting print is
about 2 stops lighter than from PS. I have the Epson EX profile set as the
default in the Epson driver, so according to what I think I know prints
should be identical in all three programs ... except, of course, that they
aren't.

All help appreciated.
