Greyscale printing - black ink/PS5

Following recent posts on printing using the Epson black ink only (on a 700
in my case) I have done some experimenting and come up with some questions!

1. If I set up the Prefs in PS5.02 to print greyscale in black ink only,
what corresponding setting should I use in the Epson Printer dialogue?

   Greyscale
   Greyscale 1.8
   Greyscale 2.2

ALSO, when I get to the  "Advanced settings" it still shows colour ink - do
I need to change this to black? Or does the greyscale as black cover this
from PS?

THEN, if I do this, I can chose super(x) in the print quality. Without this,
I can pick up some banding in the prints done in just black ink. The grain
isn't bad, but the banding is noticeable.

(Also, I am printing at 1440dpi)

Any suggestions?
